THREE FAMILY VINEYARDS

ROWDY BOLEN, CHACE HILL & STEVE NEWSOM

What started off as as a conversation where the “three guys wanted to put in a ton of Malbec grapes and have it bottled” turned into grander thoughts of opening a winery tasting room in Hockley County. The three of us can all agree that the Texas High Plains grows premium wine grapes and the fruit we sell to wineries go at a premium price. We wanted the local communities to be able to taste what we grow, the highest quality wine grapes in the state of Texas.

With the 2017 plantings the Newsoms will operate 70 acres of vineyards and will continue to grow with the industry. The Newsom family uses sustainable methods and cutting edge technology to produce their crops with a minimal environmental footprint, and will continue this tradition in their wine-growing and wine-production. Some of the varietals you’ll find in their vineyards include Merlot, Pinot Grigio, Viognier, Albariño, Tempranillo, and Roussanne. The Newsoms realize that quality wines begin in the vineyards and and invite you to taste the difference love and tradition can make.
